By Damion Smy First Official Pictures 23 February 2014 23:00 Watch out VW Golf: this is the new Ford Focus that’s been unveiled by Ford ahead of the 2014 Geneva motor show. Gone is the bluff, snouty front end of the current car and in its place are sleeker, narrower front and rear lights, a new bonnet, bumpers and a new grille. Yet it lacks the awkward, guppy-like stance of the Fiesta, which was given its new Aston Martin-esque grille in late 2012, and is a much more sophisticated looking car.

On the 'road' carpet at the Cars 2 premiere

Larry the Cable Guy was there! In place of the usual red carpet, stars of the movie Cars 2 walked down a "road" carpet--a two-lane black carpet complete with white-striped center line--at the movie's premiere on Saturday night in Hollywood, Calif. The usually traffic-clogged Hollywood Boulevard was closed for two blocks as limos dropped off the famous, the somewhat less famous and a bunch of people who were largely ignored by everybody.

The Audi A3, Mercedes-Benz Concept Style Coupé and Volkswagen Up were amongst the winners of the 'Best of Best' awards at this year's Automotive Brand Awards. The difficult job of picking this year's winners went to a panel of representatives from the media, design and brand communications world along with universities and academies. The chosen few were: freelance journalist Masatsugu Arimoto; freelance author and journalist Jürgen Lewandowski and Head of Transportation Interior Design at Hochschule Reutlingen, Professor Andrea Lipp.
