Mitsubishi will offer plug-in hybrid in 2013

Mitsubishi will launch a plug-in hybrid SUV in 2013, the head of the company's electric vehicle business unit said. The SUV will be similar to the Px-MiEV concept car shown at the 2009 Tokyo auto show, said Yoshikazu Nakamura, senior executive officer of Mitsubishi Motors Corp.'s global electric vehicle business. The plug-in hybrid is in its final stages of development, he said.

Designed jointly by Toyota's ED2 studio in the south of France and renowned French architect and industrial designer Jean-Marie Massaud, the ME.WE is a polyvalent 4-seat electric vehicle to "combat the crisis". FIVE IN EVERY 1000 company car, van and truck drivers in the UK does not have the correct licence to be at the wheel. With more than 5 million vehicles on the UK’s roads owned by companies, this means 5000 drivers either have the wrong licence or simply don’t have any licence at all. Research by the Licence Bureau has revealed the top five reasons for drivers failing to have the right licence for the vehicle they are driving.
