Nos Pos-a-traction Radial Twister Cr50-13 Vintage Tire, Raised White Letters on 2040-parts.com
Kennewick, Washington, United States
New old stock Pos-A-Traction Radial Twister CR50-13 tire. This is an unusual vintage tire from the 1960s-early 1970s with raised white letters. Just right to mount on a period wheel and display in your garage, den, man cave, or use it as a points-winning spare in your restored show car. This classic meat has never seen daylight: I got it and several other similar vintage muscle car tires from a tire dealership going out of business. The owner had deliberately collected these from other tire dealers and saved them indoors in his warehouse. Never been mounted -- as good as it gets. German car collector re-imagines Lancia Stratos
Tue, 17 Aug 2010If German car collector and Lancia Stratos fan Michael Stoschek gets his way, there will be a new interpretation of the legendary Stratos rally car sooner rather than later. Speculation and spy photos have been circulating for a couple weeks, and now we have official photos. Italian design house Pininfarina did the prototype, which Stoschek originally had done for his personal use.
Hyundai Eon Launches in India from £3.5k
Thu, 13 Oct 2011Hyundai Eon launches in India from around £3.5k No, reasonable though it would be to assume so, the Hyundai Eon is not a new electric car, but it is Hyundai’s answer to the best-selling small car in India – the Suzuki Alto. Launched on the back of a 900 Crore investment by Hyundai in development and production for the Eon (a Crore is 10 million Rupees, so that’s about £125 million) the Eon is a big push by Hyundai to make a big dent in the burgeoning Indian market. The Eon comes with an 814cc 3-pot 55bhp petrol engine – which won’t exactly have Indian buyers flying along at breakneck speeds – and offers properly decent styling, rather than the toy car styling of something like the Tata Nano.
Goodwood Festival of Speed 2011 preview
Thu, 17 Mar 2011Lord March has kicked off the countdown to the 2011 Goodwood Festival of Speed at the annual press preview. The theme is Racing Revolutions - Quantum Leaps That Shaped Motorsport. Lord March said it meant a mouth-watering array of cars, celebrating tech advances such as 4wd, carbonfibre and monocoque construction. Naturally, there are a number of anniversaries to celebrate: the centenary of the Indianapolis 500 race, 100 years of Chevrolet, the Jaguar E-type's golden birthday and 110 years of Skoda motorsport involvement.
