Up for sale here is one rare vintage NOS velocity air cleaner stack part# R2085 from the late 60's early 70's! This air cleaner was produced by the old famous Rocket Industries in Southern California! It has a very nice shinny gold hue to it, and is approximately 4 1/2 tall, and will fit most all your standard Holley carburetor lids measuring  5 1/4"-1/2", and has an adapter for the smaller carburetor lids like the older Carter AFB measuring  4 7/32"(4.5)! You will be very hard pressed to find another velocity stack in NOS condition like this one, as even the foam element is in new condition, and is not deteriorated, and falling apart! Sorry the Holley carburetor pictured is not included, and is used as a prop only!

As always feel free to send me an email should you have any questions. Please check out my other listings for more great deals. Local pickup is always welcome!

New CAFE proposal would add $5,000 to sticker price, dealer group says

Wed, 18 Jan 2012

An Obama administration proposal to nearly double today's fuel economy standards could end up tacking on $5,000 to the sticker price of a new vehicle, a top official with the National Automobile Dealers Association said Tuesday. The proposal, which seeks to raise the corporate average fuel economy to 54.5 mpg by the 2025 model year, would force automakers to adopt costly fuel-saving technologies that could eventually price some buyers out of the new-car market, said Don Chalmers, chairman of NADA's government relations committee. NADA, a dealer trade association, represents 16,000 new-vehicle dealers who operate 32,500 franchises.

One of the most influential designers of the past half-century, Luigi Colani, is the subject of an exhibition at the Design Museum in London. With a career spanning almost six decades, Colani has applied his unique design style to produce cars, trucks, boats, aircraft, ceramics and consumer goods, as well as creating futuristic concepts for as-yet unrealized transport systems and architecture. There are Colani tea pots, mineral water bottles and sun glasses, but much of his work remains in the form of dream-like models or photographic montages.
