You are purchasing a NOS (New Old Stock) Smiths water temperature gauge for a vintage British Car. We do not have an exact application for this. The part number on the face is TC6202/01 and the part number for the Wolseley 1500 temp gauge is TC6202/00: we are not sure what the difference is.

In the box is also an instruction sheet dated 1957 so that gives a time frame. (3rd photo)

Hi,
I might be able to add a little info, this is the same temp gauge for the Australian version of the Wolseley 1500, the Morris Major series 1 and the Austin Lancer series 1 both 1958 to late (I think December ) 1959 The only difference is the aussie cars had a cream dial not black.
I know this as I have a Morris Major with a faulty gauge and have been looking for one.
Hope this helps

This does not have glass covering the face, it goes in a cluster gauge along with usually a fuel gauge and an oil gauge.

Beautiful NOS gauge. If you know what this fits, drop us an email and we can add it to the listing.

New from a vintage British inventory, in the Smiths box, part number on the gauge TC6202/01.     {CHI}

Photos are the actual gauge you will receive.

Please see our store and other auctions for more NOS, new and one of a kind British parts.

Official: Renault & Caterham to build Alpine sports cars

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

Renault has confirmed it is to partner with Caterham to build a range of Alpine sports cars in Dieppe from 2015. The partnership between Renault and Caterham is a logical extension of their F1 partnership but now, with the joint venture to produce their own sports cars, goes much deeper than the almost badge-engineering Williams Renaults. A new company - Société des Automobiles Alpine Caterham – will be jointly owned by Caterham and Renault and will develop models in small and large volumes to be marketed as both Renault Alpine and Caterham, and will be built in Renault’s Dieppe factory that currently churns out Renaultsport models for the road and track, and is the historical home of Alpine.

Maximum engine revs are a stratospheric 9400rpm, of course it’s rear-wheel drive, and the gearbox is a six-speed sequential unit.

Arsenal stars team up to test new Citroen

Wed, 22 Jan 2014

THE CITROEN C4 Grand Picasso has been run through its paces in a new video featuring some of the stars from Arsenal Football Club. Striker Olivier Giroud, midfield man Santi Cazorla, defensive supremo Per Mertesacker and the safe hands of Wojciech Szczęsny teamed up to headline a football-themed test of the car’s new features. They highlight the wide door and boot openings with a spot of free-kick and goalkeeping practice, before 1.98-metre Mertesacker lies along the length of the available load space with all six passenger seats folded down.
