Vintage new old stock Stewart Warner 2-1/16 inch 12volt electric oil pressure gauge. These new in box gauges were part of the inventory of a local Stewart Warner factory distributor and aquired directly from the original giant USA Chicago Diversey Avenue Stewart Warner production plant in the 1980s when the plant closed and shifted instrument production to Mexico and elsewhere. The Stewart Warner engineering number is 306-EJ. Stewart Warner production date code is Z6 or June 1980. These gauges were manufactured by Stewart Warner under contract for an OEM end user whose OEM part number 6D482 along with the Stewart Warner engineering number is on the SW factory shipping box and also ink stamped on the gauge housings. I have been unable to discover the OEM application for part number 6D482, but gauge is most likely made for a tractor, commericial industrial equipment, utility vehicles etc., and resembles many gauge styles used on some older farm tractors. This is a very high quality weather sealed unit with provision for direct illumination via standard 5/8" diameter light socket hole with glass window sealed light socket chimney to prevent dirt / moisture intrusion. Ideal for tractors,  utility vehicles and industrial equipment. Gauge is heavy duty all the way with all metal construction (NO PLASTIC!). Gauges are in excellent condition. Satisfaction guaranteed. USPS worldwide shipping. Any questions e-mail for prompt reply.

Report backs Scottish pay-as-you-drive

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

SCRAPPING FUEL DUTY and car tax in Scotland and replacing them with a pay-as-you-drive system has been suggested by an independent think tank. The scheme would help reduce emissions, cut congestion and increase fairness, Reform Scotland said. The organisation has produced a report on the idea, calling for the Scottish Government to launch a feasibility study on a national and local scheme in which central government would "price" motorways and trunk roads and local authorities would "price" local roads.
