This an NOS SUN TACH ST-602 8,000 rpm direct hook-up tach with an NOS SUN NC-4 chrome cup. This Tach connects directly to your ignition coil and does NOT require a transmitter or sending unit like most other Sun tachs of this vintage. Manufactured in May of 1970 and found in the old stock of a speed shop. For 8 cylinder, 12 volt negative ground systems.

The Tachometer includes a dash mounting bracket, light and socket, small nuts, decal, instructions, the original (expired) warranty card, and the original box. I tested the tach on my points ignition and it worked fine. This tach has the the early short 90 degree needle sweep design. There is a small crack on the side of the chrome bezel which was somewhat common on early Sun Tachs (see picture). You can remove and rotate the bezel to face any way you like, or find a replacement, but it is barely noticeable..

The chrome mounting cup includes both the dash and column mounting brackets, a rubber mounting strip, a large column screw clamp, 2 acorn nuts, the cup to mounting bracket hardware, instructions, and the original box.

These tachometers were commonly dealer installed on factory muscle cars and dealer hot rods of the era like Yenko and Motion.

This tach will be well packaged and insured for safe delivery to you.

Lincoln MKR concept

Tue, 02 Jan 2007

By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 02 January 2007 11:49 Lincoln MKR Concept: the lowdown Lincoln will slide the wraps off its answer to the Mercedes CLS at the Detroit Motor Show next week: this luxurious and wedgy MKR concept. It’s the work of ex-Volvo British designer Peter Horbury, who now heads Ford’s Amercian design division, and hints at how Lincolns will look in the years ahead: the Viking-hat grille is straddled by pencil-thin LED headlights, while the flanks of the car are notably uncluttered. Don’t expect to see the 21-inch wheels and ‘Lincoln star’ patterns in the tyre treads on production cars any time soon, though.
