Nos Sun Tachometer Transmitter Nhra Gasser 1932 Ford Hot Rod Dash Panel/tach/cup on 2040-parts.com
Portland, Oregon, US
Here is a vintage original Sun tachometer transmitter for use with the separate tach gauge heads. The guy I got it from told me he bought it brand new back in the day, but never used it. It does appear to be NOS (new old stock), with no indictions of ever being mounted. The tag reads: Model EB-1A, VOLTS: 6. CYLINDERS: 8. The interior looks really clean (there are no batteries inside). The overall condition is excellent, surviving the years well with no original packaging. The bakelite cover, graphics and tag all look very nice. These can be updated with newer electronics to eliminate the need for the original batteries, but I have no way to properly test it so it's being sold as-is. It would be perfect for a period correct look on a hot rod roadster, dry lakes racer, rail dragster, custom, or any other vintage old school ride. NO RESERVE. Please see my other auctions for more VINTAGE HOT ROD PARTS AND MEMORABILIA to be listed shortly. Thanks for looking, Chris.
*AFTER THE AUCTION IS OVER, PLEASE WAIT FOR THE INVOICE TO BE SENT BEFORE PAYING SO I CAN CALCULATE THE CORRECT SHIPPING COSTS.
*I WILL STILL ACCEPT ANY FORMS OF PAYMENT AS ALLOWED BY EBAY.
*TO SAVE ON SHIPPING COSTS I WILL COMBINE AUCTION WINS (WHEN POSSIBLE), BUT I DO ASK THAT PAYMENT BE SENT ASAP ON THE FIRST INVOICE AND ANY CHANGES WITH COMBINED SHIPPING COSTS WILL BE MADE ON SUBSEQUENT INVOICES.
** I apologize for the following "fine print". I never bothered with this previously, but due to ebay's changes, it has now become a necessary evil:
- SHIPPING: Ebay now requires the shipping calculator to be included in all auctions. Please be aware that although the costs listed will in most instances be basically correct, these are not always accurate. Any significant differences up or down will be adjusted on the invoice. The shipping costs listed here are estimates only (not always including the insurance/delivery confirmation costs), as I do not package items until after the auction ends. DUE TO PAYPAL'S POLICIES, I NOW REQUIRE INSURANCE ON ALL PACKAGES VALUED OVER $25.00 (AND DELIVERY CONFIRMATION ON ALL USPS PACKAGES), AS WELL AS DELIVERY SIGNATURES ON ALL PACKAGES VALUED AT $250.00 AND HIGHER. THESE WILL BE ADDED WITH THE SHIPPING COSTS ON THE INVOICE.
INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS:
Please be aware that although both USPS first class and priority shipping may be listed in the calculator, all packages valued over $25 will need to be insured and only priority packages can be sent with insurance coverage. First class shipping is less expensive, and I will try to ship at the best rate possible, but often times the more expensive priority rate is the only one available when insurance coverage is needed.Gauges for Sale

Chrysler Group names new chief for Fiat in North America
Mon, 21 Nov 2011Chrysler Group on Monday named Timothy Kuniskis head of the Fiat brand for North America, replacing Laura Soave, who "has left the company and will pursue other interests." Kuniskis, 44, most recently served as director of marketing for the Chrysler and Fiat brands. The change is effective immediately, Chrysler said in a statement. Soave, 39, who supervised Chrysler's efforts to reintroduce the Fiat brand in North America after a 17-year absence, attended the rollout last week of the Fiat 500 Abarth at the Los Angeles auto show but did not participate in the press conference, raising further questions about her tenure.

SEMA 2008 show report: Ford F-150, Mustang and Flex
Thu, 06 Nov 2008By Phil McNamara Motor Shows 06 November 2008 09:30 Ford's stand was dominated by four models: the Flex, a slammed, seven-seat SUV with Range Rover-styling cues; the iconic F-150 pick up; the Focus; and, of course, the Mustang. With an ear-splitting V8 roar, Ford unveiled a 50-edition run of the Cobra Jet Mustang, and the F-150 SVT Raptor, a go-anywhere extreme version of the pick-up, which will bounce across sand dunes in the Baja California race later this month before going on sale next year. But tucked away in a corner was a less environmentally destructive F-150, shaped by British engineering firm PML.
