Hyundai ix20 revealed

The Hyundai ix20 will debut at Paris As is often the case, ‘revealed’ is perhaps too strong a word for what we have on Hyndai’s latest offering – the Hyundai ix20. One up from a tease and not quite a reveal, Hyundai has sent us a sketch of the ix20 which will debut at the Paris Motor Show in a  few weeks time. Update: According to an Automotive News report, "NHTSA said it will contact local authorities about the latest fire 'to determine if there are vehicle safety implications that merit agency action.'" The agency had previously backed away from an investigation after determining that vehicle defects were not to blame for the fire in early October. Just after Tesla Motors reported a $38 million third-quarter loss and within a few weeks of two other car fires, a third Model S sedan reportedly burned on the highway near Smyrna, Tenn. The Tesla Motors Club forum supplied photos of the crash, which occurred around 1:30 Wednesday afternoon, in addition to intense speculation on the cause of the fire.

Ferrari 599 GTB 60F1 Edition Ferrari is to launch a limited edition version of the 599 GTB – the 599 GTB 60F1 – to celebrate 60 years in Formula One. Ferrari has been there since the beginning of F1, which makes Silverstone 2011 the 60th anniversary of Formula One, and to celebrate Ferrari is to release a limited edition model – the Ferrari 599 GTB 60F1. Based on the HGTE package available for the regular Ferrari 599 – which means stiffer springs and dampers, a bigger stabilizer bar at the back, bigger rubber and lowered suspension – the 599 GTB 60F1 is part of Ferrari’s Tailor Made programme (which does what it says on the tin).
