XLE-PERFORMER SERIES is our top of the line extra low elongation, 100% polyester double braid. Avg. Strength is 3,500 lbs. Made by NovaTech in Canada. XLE is made from the highest quality polyester yarns with marine finish on both core and cover. The balanced core to cover construction insures that XLE will remain easy to handle and splice while offering maximum abrasion resistance. Color fast cover yarns are solution dyed Firebrite 2000 polyester. This strong, low stretch double braid is ideal for all running rigging applications on all sailboats, performance cruisers, and racing boats. Porsche Macan gets four-cylinder powerplant
Wed, 23 Apr 2014The new entry level Porsche Macan, shown alongside the new Boxster and Cayman GTS at the Beijing motor show, has become the first Porsche model since the 968 to use four-cylinder power. Parent company Volkswagen's EA888 engine -- as used by a wide range of models from Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and Seat -- will motivate the new Porsche SUV. The turbocharged 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder direct-injection unit, boasting the same state of tune found on the Golf GTi Performance Package, develops 234 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque between 1,500 and 4,500 rpm.
