Low mileage rear output shaft for 1981-1987 GM NP 208 transfer case used in Chevy/GMC and GM Military CUCV trucks.

Perfect used condition. Very little sign of wear. NO worn or twisted splines. NO pitted bearing surfaces.

The low gear assembly in NP 208s slides along the splines in the NP208 so if they are worn (like most of them are) the transfer case will be hard to shift. In extreme cases the splines can strip completely.

4wd was obviously engaged very rarely. The donor truck had a tiny 4.1L inline 6.

Actual item is pictured. Comes as pictured. 

I pulled the donor transfer case out of a low mileage running stock daily driver 1984 Chevy 1/2 ton short bed with a little 250 cu in inline 6 that was parted out because of body rust. The transfer case was in good working order. I was saving it for my trusty 1987 GMC but I sold the truck.
