Excessive accessories are on display at the Tokyo Auto Salon
Tue, 08 Mar 2011The Japanese tuning industry may finally be emerging from the economic slump if this year's Tokyo Auto Salon is an accurate barometer. The three-day spectacular--Japan's equivalent of SEMA--attracted nearly a quarter-million visitors, all eager to get a glimpse of the latest cars and the newest excessive accessories for 2011. Here's a recap: The Honda CR-Z was, without a doubt, the car of the show, and some versions were tuned to deliver up to 300 hp, thanks to turbocharging or supercharging kits.
Citroen DS3 WRC (2010): Loeb's new company wheels
Thu, 30 Sep 2010This is the new Citroën DS3 WRC, just unveiled at the 2010 Paris motor show. And it’s the car that everyone interested in world rallying has been waiting for – it’s Sébastien Loeb’s wheels for the 2011 World Rally Championship. Okay, we know it’s not as highly anticipated as the Mini Countryman WRC, but the reason we’re excited is that this could be the car to end Loeb’s reign – the Frenchman has won the last six WRC titles, will almost certainly take his seventh this year, but having an all-new car will hopefully reset the field and give Ford’s Fiesta RS WRC a chance.
Jaguar F-Type photo leaks ahead of Paris motor show debut
Wed, 19 Sep 2012We've seen galleries galore of Jaguar F-Type testers running around the western United States in camo. Thanks to a leaky European website, though, this first official photo of the production F-Type has hit the Internet. The image shows a trio of F-Types, all with S badging in the front grille; no word on which powerplant is beneath each of the curvaceous hoods, but we'll find out next week at the Paris auto show.
