Top Gear India Special offends – as planned

Sat, 31 Dec 2011

Clarkson's practical answer to 'Delhi-Belly' The BBC has received complaints about the Top Gear Christmas Special in India, claiming ‘Racist Insults’. Which is par for the course. We’d understand people complaining that the Top Gear Christmas Special from India, broadcast on 28th December, was a notch or two below par.

2013 Mazda3 MPS & revised Mazda 3 range prices

Wed, 03 Oct 2012

Mazda has revealed the 2013 Mazda3 MPS hot hatch and announced it is adding the Tamura and Venture to the standard range. The 2013 Mazda3 MPS gets some small titivations (although you do need to look quite hard – there’s even fewer changes than the regular 2012 Mazda3) with some new tail light graphics, a new gunmetal finish for the 18″ alloys and a black Mica finish for the trim at the bottom of the back bumper, door mirrors and inner roof spoiler. Fortunately, Mazda has kept the peppy 2.3 litre turbo petrol that offers 256bhp and can scuttle the little Mazda to 62mph in 6.1 seconds.

Infiniti at the Paris motor show 2008

Thu, 02 Oct 2008

By Ben Pulman Motor Shows 02 October 2008 09:35 Infiniti kicked off its Mondial de l'Automobile on the eve of the show by opening its Parisian dealership, the brand's first showroom in Western Europe. Sales started in Russia in 2006, but this was our first taste of how Nissan is going to scale Fortress Premium.  On the Avenue de Versailles, in an understated (and perhaps – whisper it – sterile bland) showroom and slap-bang next to a BMW dealer, executive vice president of Nissan Carlos Tavares outlined Infiniti’s ambitious expansion plans and confirmed new models for Europe. The range starts with the G37, which comes as a 3-series rival in saloon and coupe form, and our first drive of the latter confirmed it as a credible BMW rival.
