Recall under way on 2013 Ford Escape to fix faulty fuel line

Ford is recalling the redesigned 2013 Escape SUV with the 1.6-liter engine to fix a fuel line that could break and lead to a fire. The automaker is telling owners of the recalled SUVs to not drive their vehicles and has told dealers not to sell units they have in stock. Ford says about 11,500 copies of the 2013 Escape with the 1.6-liter engine and the faulty fuel line in the engine compartment were built.

But best not to get too excited – the changes are not immense, although the introduction of the 2010 Lexus IS F-Sport does add a couple of nice cosmetic bits to the mix. Biggest news is the addition of the F-Sport model, which fits in between the IS SE-I and IS SE-L Models.

It arguably had the best show stand gimmick at Frankfurt too – a giant Fiat 500 model the size of a two-storey building housing a monorail on which punters could ride life-size 500 cars around its innards – entered through the giant 500’s wheel arch. Anyway… what about this eco Panda thingy… Oh yes, the Fiat Aria ‘concept’ is subtle like that.
