Aston Martin and Mercedes tie-up over Lagonda

Probably the biggest surprise of the Geneva Motor Show was the arrival of the Lagonda Concept. Although the revival of the Lagonda Marque had been much speculated upon, particularly with Lagonda celebrating its 100 year car making anniversary this year (an all the marketing opportunities that offers) no one had seen a super-luxo SUV on the horizon. Design boss Trevor Creed heralded it as 'a new, more emotional Chrysler.' Although the same size as the mean-'n'-moody 300C saloon, the Nassau is designed to look smaller, with more delicate surface treatments, a subtler new eggcrate grille and a slimmer, more European hatchback rear end. The Nassau portrays more compact dimensions, despite rolling on huge 10-spoke, 22in alloy wheels.

New Chevrolet Caprice tuned to police needs

The new Chevrolet Caprice police patrol vehicle will hit the streets in April 2011, and orders from departments will begin in January. The Caprice will join the Impala and the Tahoe as the bow-tie brand's offerings for police. The new Chevy will feature a 6.0-liter V8 engine pumping out 355 hp and 384 lb-ft of torque.
