Carrying the RCZ concept’s styling into production was a good start, and the new 208 GTi is a pleasantly surprising hoot, but for bigger smiles you’ll want this: a 270bhp, carbonfibre-clad hot hatch that’ll give an Audi S3 a fright, and leave a Golf GTI in its tyre tracks. MINI Clubman Bond Street: It’s another MINI Special Edition

The MINI Clubman Bond Street, named after London’s Bond Street Shopping district, has been revealed ahead of a Geneva 2013 debut. As has been MINI’s strategy for a while, all MINI Special Editions are named after London districts, this time one of London’s shopping areas – Bond Street – and nothing to do with James Bond (much as MINI might have liked to find a 007 connection). The MINI Clubman Bond Street gets the usual special edition fare of custom paint job – this time Midnight Black with Cool Champagne highlights – a set of stripes, black twin-spoke alloys with Champagne centres and ‘Bond Street’ on the side indicator surrounds and sills.

A-Roads ‘greatest risk to drivers’

THE MOST DANGEROUS roads in the UK are A-roads, which are seven times more dangerous than motorways according to new research by the Road Safety Foundation. While 99% of motorways are rated in the "'low risk" category, 97% of single carriageway A-roads are not. The overall risk of death and serious injury on motorways and A-roads is lowest in the West Midlands and highest in the East Midlands, the poll revealed.
