Jaguar F-Type V8 S sprint test in Jabbeke – then off to Geneva 2013 in convoy + video
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Jaguar has taken the new F-Type V8 S to Jabbeke for sprint testing then on to Geneva in convoy with XK 120, C-type, D-type and E-type sports cars. So Jaguar took the F-Type off to Jabbeke, Belgium – where Jaguar’s test driver Norman Dewis managed a world record flying mile speed of 172.4mph in an XK 120 60 years ago – and put Le Mans driver Andy Wallace in the driver’s seat to see how quickly the F-Type V8 S would go. Andy had just a two mile stretch of closed road to play with the F-Type and yet managed a 0-179-0 with a clocked time of 4.2 seconds to 62mph on the way.
Shelby Supercars SSC TuaTara Interior photos & video
Sat, 12 Nov 2011SSC Tuatara Interior photos and video It was back in July that Shelby Supercars revealed that their new supercar wasn’t going to be the Ultimate Aero II, but would get a new moniker – the SSC Tuatara. At the time, Shelby only issued a few photos (well, renderings) of the exterior of the Tuatara, but it looked impressive enough. And even when Jerod Shelby took a real Tuatara to Shanghai a month later to show his new creation to the world’s biggest car market, the doors stayed firmly shut.
Hyundai i30
Thu, 11 Aug 2011Hyundai has released the first rendering of the next generation i30 set to be officially revealed at the Frankfurt motor show next month. Designed in the Korean automaker's European Design Center in Rüsselsheim, Germany, under the direction of Chief Designer Thomas Buerkle, the new C-segment hatchback is an evolution of Hyundai's ‘fluidic sculpture' design language, initiated on the HED-6 ix-onic concept shown at the 2009 Geneva motor show. "When designing the new i30, we used strong, fluid lines to sculpt a car which looks athletic while exuding a sense of constant motion," said Buerkle.
