You are purchasing a good used original camshaft bearing cap for all Jaguar 6 cylinder engines 1949-87. These cars are the XK120, XK140, XK150, XK-E Type, Mark I, II, VII, VIII, IX, X, 340, 3.4, 420, 3.8, 3.8S, XJ6.

This bracket goes on the 2 middle studs of the cam and holds the cam bearing. On some engines this may also go at the back as well.

This is in very good shape, no chips or cracks and the holes are round. As always when changing caps, it will need to be aligned bored to fit your head. Please check the casting number to make sure you have a match.

It is marked on the top with casting number C2171 on the top.

We also are listing the cam bearing caps for the front and back of the cam. Multiples are available.

Might be a good spare to have if yours gets cracked from overtightening.
