You are purchasing a good used original camshaft bearing cap for all Jaguar 6 cylinder engines 1949-87. These cars are the XK120, XK140, XK150, XK-E Type, Mark I, II, VII, VIII, IX, X, 340, 3.4, 420, 3.8, 3.8S, XJ6. This bracket goes on the front of the cam and holds the cam bearing. This is in very good shape, no chips or cracks and the holes are round. As always when changing caps, it will need to be aligned bored to fit your head. Please check the casting number to make sure you have a match. It is marked on the top with casting number C2172 on the top. We also are listing the cam bearing caps for the middle and back of the cam. Multiples are available. Might be a good spare to have if yours gets cracked from overtightening. Peugeot designers bring kids' car designs to life
Wed, 10 Jul 2013Peugeot designers have brought six childrens' car sketches to life by rendering them as a prize for the 'Draw Me The Car of 2020' design competition, launched in collaboration with children's magazine Okapi. The six 10-15 year old winners – Clement, Thomas, Lena, Tom, Leo and Gaspard – were able to see their dream cars realized by Peugeot designer Olivier Gamiette, who worked on the EX1 concept car. Peugeot presented the first placed winner, Thomas, with a 270mm by 140mm model of his design at an awards ceremony held at the carmaker's design center in Velizy, France.
First Sight: Hyundai i30
Tue, 13 Sep 2011Hyundai invited Car Design News for an exclusive sneak preview of the all-new i30 last week, ahead of its global debut at the Frankfurt motor show today. The event was held in Frankfurt's renowned Cocoon Club (the venue will also play host to this year's Interior Motives Awards, which takes place this coming Wednesday night), and was chosen because of its interior décor – something Hyundai's European Design Chief, Thomas Buerkle, likened to the Korean company's 'Fluidic Sculpture' design language. "We have been inspired by nature and beautiful shapes," Buerkle told the audience of journalists at the launch.
