New tech suggests windowless cars are on the horizon

Thu, 20 Feb 2014

For years students have presented windowless car projects, explaining how the view from outside would be projected within the interior. Now an aerospace company has created the technology that could hold the key to turning the dream into a reality. But now, after Porsche showcased the electric Boxster at Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Berlin, there is a little more flesh to put on the bones of that story. We’d assumed – because there was no reason to assume otherwise – that the three Electric Boxsters Porsche has running around would be all rear wheel-drive, just like the ICE Boxster.

Mercedes GLA 45 AMG (2014) first official pictures

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

By Ollie Kew First Official Pictures 07 January 2014 10:00 This is, at last, the Mercedes GLA 45 AMG. We’ve seen Visions of the GLA, and a ghastly stickered-up ‘concept’ version, but this is the surprisingly handsome production version of Merc’s super-crossover. Prices are expected to top £43k, outpunching the Audi RSQ3’s ask, and Merc’s other four-pot rockets, the A45 and CLA 45, which start at £38,190 and £42,265 respectively.
