Oe Right Hand Cam Cover Camshaft Valve Cover Jaguar Xj6 3.4 4.2 on 2040-parts.com
Dayton, Ohio, US
You are purchasing a very good used Right Hand camshaft valve cover for the Jaguar XJ6, 3.4 and 4.2. This does not have the oil filler opening or the cam opening in the end.
With research the part number inside the cover shows this for XJ6 4.2 up to VIN 362419 and for 3.4 up to VIN 362689. Then the part number gets superceded to EAC5465 and that part number shows this cover to the end of XJ6 Series III.
This is in very good used shape, no cracks or chips and all the holes are round (not ovalled out). The gasket surface is also very good. It has been cleaned and you can paint it and polish it to your level of restoration.
From a vintage British inventory, part number C43531. Photos are of the actual part.

DAB radio in cars and the digital switchover
Mon, 22 Nov 2010Britain's motorists face a £1 billion+ bill to fix their car radios so they work after the digital switchover, a CAR Magazine investigation reveals. The Government plans to switch off the FM signal and move the UK's broadcasting industry to DAB digital radios - mirroring the switchover from analogue to digital televisions. The official target for the digital radio switchover is 2015, but many commentators predict that date will slip as there is a great deal of work to be done before Britain is ready.
Porsche Macan gets 2.0 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine
Wed, 23 Apr 2014Porsche Macan gets 2.0 litre 4-Cylinder petrol engine The new Porsche Macan looks set to change the rules for the compact SUV market, with class best handling and dynamics and performance that beats many a focused hot hatch. But despite beliefs Porsche would offer its first 4-cylinder engine in a generation at launch, the only engines on offer were a 3.0 litre diesel in the Macan S Diesel, a 3.0 V6 Turbo in the Macan S and a 3.6 litre turbo in the Macan Turbo, with expectations that the Macan wouldn’t get a four-cylinder engine util the end of 2014. But it looks like an early arrival for the four-pot Macan with news it’s getting a new 2.0 litre 4-cylinder petrol engine which delivers 237bhp and 258lb/ft of torque, enough to get the Macan to 62mph in 6.9 seconds and offer official economy of 37.6mpg.
Car dealers are buying again
Wed, 21 Jan 2009Used car sales in the UK (and just about everywhere else, for that matter) have been in the doldrums, to say the least, for many months. The inexorable decline in car values has left many dealers nursing painful losses on stock cars, and has led to the strange situation where, however desperate a dealer was to sell you a new car, he wouldn’t (or couldn’t) offer you a part-ex price. Car dealers are buying stock again But according to the used car value Gurus at Glasses Guide, things are starting to look up – a little.
