You are purchasing a rare vintage used jack quite possibly a Bevelift, for a British car, we believe this is for a Bristol 410 or Alvis.

One gentleman wrote: Maybe for an Alvis but not for a Bristol ! I own several Bristols and the jacks are different

another gentleman wrote: the jack you are selling is not the genuine "Bevelift" jack that was supplied with Bristol 410 cars (or Riley cars for that matter), the gearbox head is a different shape on the genuine unit and is clearly marked with manufacturers name etc. Yours is a close copy and may well have been supplied with other cars such as Alvis.

Please look at the 2nd photo which is of a Bristol 410, showing the jack going thru the rocker panels of the car to operate. The end of the arm hooks down (photo 3).

This is a used jack in good condition, paint is chipped but it works. The knob is present. The body and arm of the jack is sheet metal but the top part is cast iron (photo 5). The base is just over 3" and the arm is about 9".

The only marking on this jack is a part number under the arm which is hard to read either 12637 or 12837 on cast iron lift (photo 9).

Photos are the actual part.

The Vauxhall Astra ST 2011 You can’t have a new Vauxhall Astra without a new Astra Estate, so Vauxhall has now got round to revealing the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer, which will go on sale at the end of the year and be built at Vauxhall’s plant in Ellesmere Port. Vauxhall has done a good job of making a load-lugger from the stylish Astra. The wheelbase remains the same but the load length grows by 28mm, not a huge amount but enough to give the Astra ST 500 litres of load space with the seats up and 1550 litres with them down.
