Description
This auction is for one original used Cadillac fuel tank out of a 1976 Eldorado Convertible with the electronic fuel injection option. This tank is identical on the exterior to the ones used in carburated cars but the internal baffels are different to accommodate the in-tank fuel pump. The fuel sender assembly with the fuel pump is included and is visually in good condition, however, I'm not able to verify that the pump and sender are working. The float arm raises and lowers by hand just fine.
The tank is inexcellent condition, no dents, just some very minor scratches on the underside. There is no rust on this tank and the underside has underbody coating on it which has preserved the tank very well. This tank came from a car that has been in California since it was sold new in SoCal, which explains the excellent condition.
This auction also includes the two original mounting straps and the original gas cap.

Due to the size and weight (yes, the tank weights 42 pounds!!) it can either be shipped via UPS Ground or Greyhound Express, which is cheaper but requires you to pick them up at the local Greyhound station.

It can also be picked up in person here in the East Bay of the SF Bay Area. I can also deliver it in the San Francisco Bay Area for gas money if item is pre-paid.

General Motors will equip the 2013 models of its large crossovers--the Chevrolet Traverse, the Buick Enclave and the GMC Acadia--with a center-mounted airbag that protects front-seat passengers in side impacts. The airbag, developed by GM and safety-system supplier Takata, is mounted on the inboard side of the driver's-seat backrest. GM says the airbag helps restrain and protect the driver in the event of a crash on the passenger side of the vehicle when the front passenger seat is empty.
