Ask any questions.  We're here to help.  Please email us through the eBay system.  We try to maintain normal business hours but tend to check email and offers throughout the evening and weekend.

We want every transaction to be a win-win.  We strive to create listings that reflect what we know, what we have to offer and where we want to be in the motorcycle/automotive community.  Often, we know exactly what year, make and model your part came from.  Sometimes, we use an educated guess.  Please verify fitment by looking at the pictures and asking any questions that aren't already answered in the listing and in the questions from other members.  We're committed to using eBay as a venue for honest interaction and fair exchange.

Almost all of our parts are in used, unknown condition.  They are take-offs from cars and bikes that were parted out in the last couple years.  Only the most worthy items were selected for keeping.  We always seek to describe the condition as thoroughly as possible but sometimes it is impractical to assess (e.g. a gas tank that is locked shut or a float bowl bolt that we feel might strip too easily).  If condition is listed as ‘for parts’ or ‘not working’, consider this sold as-is.  Again, please look very carefully at the pictures to determine whether it will fill your needs before you purchase.

Unless otherwise noted, our carburetors are listed in used condition.  This does not necessarily mean they won’t require significant reconditioning.  We acquire and list so many of them, it’s practically impossible to assess each one fully.  Because of this, carburetors are sold as-is.  Again, please see pictures and ask any questions before buying.

Shipping:

Most of our items ship on the day of payment.  We always try to get your part out by the next day but some items are stored in a separate facility and/or take more time to prepare.  Items requiring freight might take a couple days to arrange with the carrier.  If you're in a hurry, definitely let us know at the time of purchase and we’ll do everything we can to get this to you quickly.

Domestic shipping:  Domestic shipping rates for small or medium-sized items typically include all 50 states.  However, that's not always the case.  If you're in Hawaii or Alaska, it's better to let us know in advance where we're shipping.

Most items will ship via USPS or FedEx.

Large items that require freight will be handled on a case-by-case basis and may require extra time to arrange.  Freight quotes, when available, are to a business location unless otherwise noted.

International shipping:   International buyers are responsible for shipping duties and customs taxes/tariffs in their country.  These will be costs above and beyond our cost to ship to you.  Unfortunately, even though we receive numerous requests to label a shipment as a gift, we are unable to fulfill this request.  We understand this represents an added cost to our international buyers but it also represents a legal situation we’re not prepared to defend.

If for some reason the listing doesn’t provide a shipping cost, please contact us for a quote.  We are willing to get creative for larger items and more remote destinations.

Local pick-up:  Local pick-up is available on large, expensive-to-ship items.  If you're in the Denver/Boulder/Fort Collins super city, we are right off I-25 Exit 243/245 and we're more than willing to arrange a meeting time.  Keep in mind we will most likely be making a special trip to meet you, so please keep us informed of any changes in your schedule.

Shipping disclaimer:  We reserve the right to dismantle, separate, or rearrange any item for the purposes of staying within shipping size and/or weight limits.

No free shipping?:  We typically charge shipping for two reasons: first, it’s a courtesy to the people who would rather pick it up locally; second, it allows us to offer occasional clearance sales without simultaneously discounting the shipping (allowing us to offer a larger discount). Ebay is nudging sellers toward offering free shipping. We don't see this as a bad thing but any seller’s item prices obviously go up to cover the costs.

Shipping discounts:  We will work with you to ship multiple items at the same time, for a reduced cost.  Most of our items do not require immediate payment, so if you’d like to buy multiple items, we can send an invoice with a reduced shipping price.

Payment:

Payment is expected within three days of purchase or auction end.  For most items, we accept payment through Paypal only, unless you’d like to pick the item up, locally.  Please contact us if you need to use other forms of payment.  Complete bikes and cars will require cash in person, certified bank check, personal check with time to clear, wire transfer or other non-Paypal form of payment (except any deposit required).

Returns and Refunds:

If something seems different than described, please contact us first.  If the item is damaged, we need to retain the packaging and have a conversation with the shippers.  If we simply sent you the wrong item... easy enough.  We'll trade ya!  If none of the above is true but you really need to send it back, we'll refund you 80% of the purchase price, unless the item is sold for parts/as-is or for charity.  Just get the item back to us.  Please understand we do have a fair amount of fees attached to every transaction, whether it's reversed or not.  Sometimes even as-is items are allowed returns.  We do this on a case-by-case basis.  Please read the listing carefully and consider this type of return a courtesy on our part.

Feedback:

We are happy to leave you feedback once payment is made and the item has been delivered to the carrier. We would appreciate that once you receive your item, you also leave us feedback.

We strive to be a 5-star seller. Your feedback is critical to any seller’s success on eBay. We ask that you leave positive feedback with all 5 stars. If you feel you shouldn’t leave a positive comment with all 5 stars, please do not hesitate to contact us for any reason. We are here to exceed your expectations!

Mazda to use regen brakes to boost fuel economy 5 to 10 percent

Mon, 09 Jul 2012

Mazda is adding a fuel-saving technology that harnesses wasted brake energy in the redesigned Mazda6 sedan due early next year. The approach uses regenerative braking to convert kinetic energy into electricity that is stored in a capacitor. The car later taps that capacitor to power the fuel pump, lights, audio, air conditioning and transmission and engine control systems.
