 This listing is for an original equipment hood scoop surround/trim removed from a 1985 Ford Mustang SVO.  Item is said to suit 1984-86 SVO models ONLY unless using it on a custom application.  This item is BLACK in color.  The painted finish is a little dull.  It may or may not polish up, but buyer would probably be better off repainting it (its 30 years old after all).  This item secures with 3 metal nuts on the under side.  All three of the original mounting nuts are included.  Item is in good shape for its age, but is not suitable for a pristine or show quality vehicle.  If using on anything nicer than a daily driver, please plan on restoring it first.  Actual item pictured, so please look closely.  Hard to find!  Genuine Ford part!  This is an AS-IS listing.  Please address any and all questions or concerns PRIOR to purchase.  All sales on AS-IS listings are FINAL.  No refunds, no returns, no exchanges (no exceptions).  Please purchase accordingly!  Thanks for looking!

Dealers' clunkers filing deadline extended

The Transportation Department has extended the cash-for-clunkers filing deadline again, to 8 p.m. EDT tonight after reporting that its computer system for dealers "has been fully operational overnight." In an e-mail to the National Automobile Dealers Association that was confirmed by Transportation spokeswoman Jill Zuckman, the Obama administration said, "The system will be closed to new submissions" after 8 p.m. It was the second deadline extension since last Thursday because of Transportation's computer outages.

Drayson Racing and RCA launch EV racing car contest

Drayson Racing has launched a contest with the Royal College of Art's Vehicle Design program to design electric racing car concepts for the FIA's new Formula E series, which is set to start in 2014. The RCA's students are asked to present designs that explore new themes within the technical constraints as part of this course's curriculum. The previous Drayson Formula E concept was developed by Sergio Rinland who will be part of a series of workshops and lectures on aerodynamics, engineering packaging, production engineering and materials, giving students the technical knowledge to develop their designs.
