Bentley announces 'Home Collection'

Mon, 27 Jan 2014

IF YOU’VE ever fancied a slice of Bentley lifestyle in your home, you’re in luck. The Crewe-based firm has tied up with an Italian furniture builder to produce the Bentley ‘Home Collection’ of domestic and executive homeware. The pieces, says Bentley, are “an exercise in subtlety, incorporating functional performance with comfort and luxurious, sensuous quality.” And we thought it was just a range of things to sit on.

Mercedes SLS AMG Black Series and SLS AMG GT get UK price

Mon, 22 Apr 2013

The lesser of the two new offerings, the new SLS GT, will cost from £165,030 and gets an extra 20bhp over the standard SLS, taking its output to 591.bhp, with power driven to the rear wheels through the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT seven-speed ‘box, with 0-62mph taking 3.7 seconds on the way to a top speed of 199mph. If it matters, official economy is 21.4mpg and emissions 308g/km. Standard specification includes nappa leather and Alcantara for the AMG performance steering wheel, designo black leather with red stitching, AMG mats, B&O BeoSound AMG, red seat belts, 19″ alloys at the front and 20″ alloys at the back, carbon fibre mirrors, red brake calipers and AMG GT badges.

Fiat 500L launches

Wed, 04 Jul 2012

The Fiat 500L – a larger Fiat 500 based on the Punto – has launched in Italy ahead of going on sale in the UK in early 2013. We had the official arrival of the Fiat 500L at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and now we get the 500L’s official launch in Turin – together with lots of new photos and a video – before the 500L goes on sale around the world. The 500L is actually based on the underpinnings of the Punto to create a 500 MPV and, sensibly, Fiat has done with the 500L  what MINI did with the Countryman and slapped an iconic badge on even though the 500L bears scant resemblance to its cute little sibling.
