Chevrolet reveals Silverado Cheyenne concept truck bound for SEMA
Mon, 04 Nov 2013Even though the SEMA show is famous for the most outlandish sports cars you could imagine (and some you probably couldn't), there will be no shortage of tuned pickup trucks this year from both manufacturers and tuning houses. And one of them will be the Chevrolet Silverado Cheyenne edition. Admittedly, it's been a while since we've been treated to a serious street-performance truck from Chevrolet, and perhaps it's the GMC Syclone that comes to mind when you think of a small performance-oriented truck from one of GM's brands.
Vauxhall Ampera price cut by £3,500
Tue, 10 Sep 2013The Vauxhall Ampera (pictured) drops in price by £3500 Although we still feel the range-extender is the right way for car makers to go to get the car buying public to accept EVs, the range-extender Vauxhall Ampera has not exactly been a runaway success. Despite Vauxhall offering potential Ampera buyers the option of trying it for 30 days and handing it back if they don’t like it, the Ampera has failed miserably to sell in any sort of volume. So, with new competition on the way from the range-extender BMW i3, Vauxhall are taking drastic action to try and tempt buyers in to the Ampera and are slashing prices by £3,500.
SEMA Pasadena: Public show in SoCal raises money for charity
Tue, 04 Aug 2009Though we weren't at the very first SEMA show 42 years ago at the National Guard Armory in Los Angeles, the inaugural SEMA Cares Show and Shine last weekend must have been a lot like that first show four decades ago. SEMA Cares was held in the Pasadena Convention Center in Southern California. Organizers sold out all 155 spots for cool cars and all 25 booth spaces for vendors.
