While this remote CAN be taken to a dealership we highly recommend you DO NOT do so as they will- typically- try to get you to buy a remote from them instead of bringing one of your own in and they have been known, all too often, to lie to the customer to achieve that sale. We highly recommend using an auto locksmith instead. This is NOT an "unlocked" remote and it has never been programmed before. If your dealership tries to tell you otherwise they are trying to scam you in to buying one from them. A locksmith will not (typically) try this shady tactic and are just as happy to use your own supplied remote. If they are not- find a different locksmith. Locksmith's will not warranty your supplied remote but should have no trouble programming it for you.
