A tribute to Ermanno Cressoni

Wed, 06 Jul 2005

Last week the car design community suffered a great loss. Ermanno Cressoni or 'Arch' as many of his designers affectionately referred to him, passed away on Thursday 30th June in Milan after battling with cancer for 13 months.'Arch' was a reference in car design and his contribution to our profession was much more important than stated in the press. As Alfa Romeo Centro Stile Director he directed the Alfetta berlina, the famous chrome GTV grille from the early seventies is attributed to him, as is the Giuglietta sedan of the late seventies, the Alfa 33, the 75, and many of the racing Alfas we adore from the late 60s and early 70s.

Update: Audi TT-RS – more images

Sun, 22 Feb 2009

We did a piece yesterday on the Audi TT-RS teaser images released by Audi ahead of the TT-RS launch at Geneva in March. But now we’ve got some more pictures, even though they are not official Audi releases (excuse the less than normal quality). It would make much more sense for car makers to stop teasing and do things properly.

Lexus RX (2009) revealed in brochure blunder

Thu, 30 Oct 2008

By Chris Clarke First Official Pictures 30 October 2008 15:34 Lexus has let slip pictures of its new RX after a Japanese brochure was seemingly leaked ahead of the car’s launch. We weren’t supposed to see the 4x4 until the November 2008 LA auto show, but we’ve tracked down the photos of the new Lexus RX early. They certainly look it and insiders at Lexus GB suggest they are genuine.
