Toyota files for 'Supra' trademark

Mon, 17 Feb 2014

Adding more grist to the new-Toyota-sports-car mill, the automaker has filed with the USPTO for a “Supra” trademark covering “Automobiles and structural parts thereof.” On one hand, it's routine for companies to protect their dormant trademarks; Toyota previously filed to protect the "Supra" mark back in 2010; that protection expired on January 27th of this year. We can't help but hold out hope that there's a bit more weight behind this application than simple maintenance of the status quo.

Ford C-Max & Grand C-Max get 1.0 litre EcoBoost

Tue, 16 Oct 2012

Ford has announced that the C-Max and Grand C-Max can now be had with the 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine with either 100PS or 125PS. It looks like Ford are determined to offer the little 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine in every car they make. In fact, if they still built a proper D-Segement car like the Scorpio it would probably find its way there too.

Thu, 02 Jun 2011

2012 Jaguar Range - every one a gem You’d have to have been living in a cave for the last couple of years not to know that Jaguar’s cars are now back at the top of the heap, and the 2012 Jaguar Range is probably the strongest line-up from Jaguar in a couple of generations. Regular readers will already have seen all the tweaks and additions to the Jaguar XF, Jaguar XJ and Jaguar XK for 2012 here over the last few months, but there’ll be the chance to see the updates in the flesh from this weekend at Motorexpo at Canary Wharf. The 2012 Jaguar XF – which debuted at New York in April – gets to look more like the concept on which it was based, the Jaguar C-XF Concept, which is a sure sign of the growing confidence at Jaguar.
