For those of you who haven't yet attended, Art Center's Car Classic is rapidly becoming the talk of the concours circuit. Held during the middle of the summer trimester at the main Hillside campus in Pasadena, it was started just three years ago and is gaining quite a following not only because of its intimate setting in which to admire the cars but also because attendees rub shoulder-to-shoulder with a variety of current and past industry designers and celebrities. To this fellow automotive enthusiast and Art Center alumnus at least, the Car Classic likens itself most to Lord March's Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival in the UK.

Porsche today revealed the first official photos of its new four-door grand touring sports car, roughly nine months before its scheduled market launch. Joining the 911, Boxster and Cayman sports cars as well as the sporty Cayenne SUV, the Panamera is Porsche's fourth model series. The designers of the Panamera sought to position their latest offering as a brand-new and truly different model while retaining the defining Porsche look.

This is the first chance to get a full view of the new 2014 911 Targa that Porsche is set to officially launch at January’s Detroit Motor Show. MSN has obtained imagery of the new 991-generation Targa (inset above) and it reveals that the firm is going back to the future with a car that returns to the original Targa style that first appeared back in 1966.
