Peugeot 308 R Concept stars at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show

Peugeot’s hot new 308 R Concept hatchback has the new mk7 Volkswagen Golf GTI square in its sights here at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The regular 308 hatch is also making its debut, showing quality Peugeot hope will rival the likes of Volkswagen and Audi, but with the rather racy looking 308 R, the French firm is after the performance crown, too. UPDATED: 2014 Chevrolet Corvette LT1 V8 to make 460 hp, 465 lb-ft

UPDATED 5/28/2013: Chevrolet has officially rated the 2014 Corvette Stingray LT1 V8 at 460 hp at 6,000 rpm and 465 lb-ft of torque at 4,000 rpm. Lamborghini seized in police swoop

A LAMBORGHINI worth around £300,000 was among the vehicles seized by police during a crackdown on uninsured cars. The orange supercar was initially stopped by officers in Newham, east London as it had no front number plate, and further checks revealed the driver was not the registered owner. The Lamborghini Aventador - which does 0-62mph in 2.9 seconds and has a top speed of 217mph - was seized when police discovered the driver's insurance policy did not cover him to get behind the wheel of the luxury motor.
