“This is a set of 8 original GM TRW forged pistons with "pink" connecting rods for 1970 LT-1 350 engines. These parts came out of a 1970 LT-1 engine early in its life. The owner added a blower and these pistons and rods came out for lower compression slugs and Crower rods. This is a very rare and hard to find factory set of rods and pistons. These would be great for a correct restoration or Pure Stock racing. These rods and pistons are in very good condition as shown. I see no damage to them. They have been in cool, dry storage since they were removed. They has dried up oil all over them along with dust that stuck to the oil. I wiped the parts down with lacquer thinner. After cleaning the first 2 pistons and rods, I realized the thinner was taking the "pink/white" paint off the rods. After that point, I cleaned the rods with Windex only. The skirts of the pistons still have very nice ribbing as shown and the rings still have a gun metal finish. This is a very nice set of rods/pistons.”

This is a set of 8 original GM TRW forged pistons with "pink" connecting rods for 1970 LT-1 350 engines. These parts came out of a 1970 LT-1 engine early in its life. These rods and pistons were used in 1970 LT-1 engines in Corvettes, Z/28 Camaros, and Yenko Deuce Novas. The owner added a blower and these pistons and rods came out for lower compression slugs and Crower rods. Each piston has the GM part number 3959456 stamped into it as shown. This is a very rare and hard to find factory set of rods and pistons. These would be great for a correct restoration or Pure Stock racing. 

These rods and pistons are in very good condition as shown. I see no damage to them. They have been in cool, dry storage since they were removed. Public 'right behind' 20mph urban speed limits

NEARLY 80% of people think 20mph speed limits should be the norm around schools, in residential streets and in village, town and city centres, according to a survey. More than four in five people think traffic travels too fast on local roads, the poll by road safety charity Brake and Allianz Insurance found. Of the 1,000 people surveyed, 78% backed the 20mph campaign run by Brake, with 72% saying roads in their town or village need to be made safer for walking.

2014 Audi A8: Price from £58,800

The 2014 Audi A8 (pictured) costs from £58,800 Audi revealed its facelift for the A8 and S8 back in August but now, with first new A8 deliveries due in the UK in January 2014, Audi has managed to come up with a price for almost the entire A8 range (and the S8). The starting price for the new A8 starts at £58,800 for the 3.0 TDI quattro (the FWD A8 has bitten the dust) rising to a substantial £79,900 for the 4.0 TFSI quattro S8. So far, they haven’t come up with a price for the range-topping 6.3 W12 LWB A8.

New Ford Mondeo gets 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine

Ford has revealed that the new 2013 Mondeo will come with the new 3 cylinder, 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine with 123bhp. But ahead of that event Ford has revealed that the new Mondeo will come with the option of the new 1.0 litre EcoBoost engine from the Focus and facelifted Fiesta. Yes, a 1.0 litre Mondeo is upon us.
