This time last year Bentley revealed that a convertible Continental Supersports had set a world record on ice in Finland of 205.48mph on the frozen Baltic sea in Finland, quickly followed by the announcement of a limited edition Bentley Supersports ‘Ice Speed Record’ to cash in on the achievement. Now, in the spirit of making the most of every success, Bentley are offering places on their ‘Power on Ice 2012′ trip back to Finland to play with the W12 Continental GT and the even more powerful Continental Supersports Coupe.
Winners announced in Car Design News-Opel/Vauxhall interactive design competition
Wed, 02 Mar 2011We are pleased to announce the winners of the interior and exterior phases of the Car Design News-Opel/Vauxhall interactive design competition. Chiayuan Lu of the University of Coventry, England, is revealed as the winner of the interior design phase, and Victor Uribe of IED in Turin, Italy, is the winner of the exterior design phase. They were announced at a ceremony held today, 2 March 2011, during the second press day of the Geneva motor show.
Ford adapts Sync for fast German drivers
Wed, 31 Aug 2011Ford Motor Co. has adapted its Sync in-car connectivity system to cope with high speeds on German autobahns. Ford launched Sync in North America in 2007 and will offer the system on its models in Europe starting next year.
