Mercedes at the London motor show 2008
Wed, 23 Jul 2008Little in the way of new metal on the Merc stand – but you can let your kids have a crack at driving if they're taller than 4ft 11in in a special Merc contest By By Gavin Green and CAR reader reporter Sandy T Motor Shows 23 July 2008 00:29 Mercedes were one of the few premium brands to bother making an appearance at the 2008 London motor show and, although there were no whizz-bang world debuts, there was a reminder of just how busy the car maker has been recently. Jaguar XF – the 2010 police version for Plod
Wed, 28 Apr 2010This is the first police-spec Jaguar XF – bound to an orderly life of patrolling the motorways around the Midlands area encircling Jaguar's HQ. It's much easier to spot than a demarked police car, with its roof bar, LED flashers in the grille and refletive decals galore. It's ironic that Jags used to be the getaway vehicle of choice in the 50s, 60s and 70s in films of a certain bent; now Jaguar has gone good and supplying Plod himself.
