SEAT Leon X-Perience price & spec – costs from £24,385
Fri, 22 Aug 2014The ‘Allroad’ SEAt Leon X-Perience goes on sale. SEAT hasn’t got round to building its first SUV, but the new SEAT Leon X-Perience is a half-way step – for SEAT and its customers – with added butchness and off-road pretensions in a high-riding estate car. SEAT has gone the usual ‘Allroad’ route for the X-Perience by fitting new bumpers, adding skid plates, extra plastic cladding and pumping up the ride height to give an estate that actually looks quite alright and, with 4WD and diff locks, can actually walk some of the walk.
Multi-Million Euro Results At Coys Classics Auction
Mon, 07 Apr 2014THE MONEY flowed thick and fast at the recent Essen Techno Classica classic car show, as Coys auctioneers sold some important cars for significant sums of cash. Headline-grabbing cars included a 1972 Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona Berlinetta that went for €487,305, a 1963 Bentley S3 Continental “Flying Spur” for €170,825 and a 1965 Ferrari 330GT 2+2 for €167,468. Other important classic cars that went under the hammer were a 1962 Jaguar E-Type Series I 3.8 Litre Roadster for €112,637 and a 1937 Bentley 3½ Drophead Coupe by Barker for €109,280.
Rinspeed to debut autonomous XchangE concept at Geneva motor show
Mon, 24 Feb 2014Dutch coachbuilder Rinspeed has built a reputation for imagining and creating cars from 10 years in the future and making them a reality, either for well-heeled customers or for auto show crowds. So it came as no surprise when it revealed its newest project slated for the 2014 Geneva motor show, meant to preview the interiors of the self-driving cars of tomorrow. Yes, that's a Tesla Model S underneath with a (mostly) muted restyling of the front fascia, though it is really the interior that's meant to be the showpiece.
