This is about a set of keys where the transponder key is OEM, made by authorized distributor in the US and is a genuine Cadillac part.

The set is about 1 uncut OEM transponder key with the chip ready to be programmed inside the plastic head and the Cadillac emblem on the front, and a second dummy regular metal head key with no logo as a gift just to open doors and trunk in case of lockout. You'll save money and time if you keep the dummy key in your wallet and no need to call a locksmith to open up your car.

The term transponder (short-for Transmitter-responder)means an automatic device that transmits a predetermined message in response to a predefined received signal.

These car year, make and models have keys with transponders hidden inside the plastic head of the key. The owner of the car may not even be aware that the transponder is there because there are no buttons to press. When a key is inserted into the ignition lock cylinder and turned, the car's computer sends a radio signal to the transponder. Unless the transponder replies with a valid code, the computer will not allow the engine to be started. Transponder keys have no battery; they are energized by the radio signal itself.

When you attempt to start the vehicle, the onboard computer sends out a signal that is picked up by the transponder in the key. The transponder then returns a unique signal to the vehicle's computer, giving it the ok for the vehicle to start and continue to run. This all happens in less than a second, and is completely transparent to the vehicle operator. It is a very effective system that does its job without the vehicle owner having to think about it, or modify his / her usual routine.

This system was introduced to help reduce vehicle crime. If the transponder key is missing or faulty the car will not start.

A few years ago, these keys were only available through the dealer, and the price they charge is really expensive (From $90 to $149 depending the Car).

Today, you can get these keys here, and get it delivered to your door.

Is a very easy purchase, you stay home, wait for the key, SAVE MONEY, and have the spear key you needed.

You can take it to most hardware stores, home improvement centers or locksmith shops to cut it and duplicate your original key. Once you have cut the key, you'll need to program it. That could be done by a professional locksmith, or yourself.

With the Item you'll recieve the programming instructions. But to program yourself, you'll need to have at least 2 working keys depending the car model you have.

If you don't have 2 working keys, you can just go to the dealer or locksmith to cut and programming it. Taking this key with you is going to cost you less than half of regular $125 than most dealers and locksmiths charge.

It Fits:

Cadillac STS (2004-2011) (You need 2 working keys to program it yourself)

Cadillac Escalade (2007-2013) (You can program it yourself with only one working key)

Note : If your car has a Prox FOB, which means you don’t need the key to start the vehicle, or you can start it pushing a button, then this key is NOT for your car.

80mph limit plans 'to be revisited'

Mon, 30 Sep 2013

SHELVED PLANS to raise the motorway speed limit to 80mph will need to be revisited, a transport minister said as he declined to say whether he ever broke the current law to drive at that speed. Stephen Hammond said ministers were split on the move - which was unveiled with a fanfare by Philip Hammond in 2011 but then axed from the agenda by successors as transport secretary. Polling suggests a 10mph increase in the maximum allowed on the network would be extremely popular among motorists - and the transport minister recognised "a lot" already drove at the higher speed.

Aston Martin Rapide – Official Valencia video

Sat, 20 Feb 2010

We have official video of the Aston Martin Rapide from Valencia Back at the start of February Aston Martin flew the world’s media to Valencia to party with the new Aston Martin Rapide. Even though Cars UK didn’t get an invite we decided to shove up a review of the Rapide covering what we knew from all the bumph Aston Martin had sent us and the opinions we’d formed from seeing the car. It wasn’t sour grapes – although it would have been nice to be asked – but looking at the reviews written by those who went on the ‘Jolly’ we were pretty much on the money.
