BACKS HAVE MINOR WEAR AND TEAR..NO BACK PULL STRAPES. The new Toyota Aygo (pictured) on sale 1 July 2014 The new Toyota Aygo – Toyota’s take on the Citroen C1 / Peugeot 108 – arrived at the Geneva Motor Show in March, and probably looks the most credible of the three. And now it’s on sale. Starting price for the new Aygo is a reasonable £8,595 for the Aygo X 3-door with a 5-speed manual ‘box, rising to £12,345 for the Aygo x-clusiv 3-door with x-shift auto ‘box.

New Smart ForTwo and ForFour set for 2014 unveil

Mercedes-Benz's struggling Smart city car division is seeking to add a new dimension to the urban driving experience with its third-generation ForTwo, currently undergoing the final phase of a three-year test and development program ahead of a planned unveiling mid next year. Set for North American launch in 2015, the ultra-compact two-seat hatchback represents a fresh chapter in operations for Smart, which has recently gained greater independence from parent company Mercedes-Benz as its boss, Annette Winkler, attempts to stem years of financial losses after almost a decade of rebuilding following its short-lived joint venture with Mitsubishi. The new ForTwo, known internally as project C453, has been developed in a joint engineering program with the upcoming second-generation ForFour and its sister car, the third-generation Renault Twingo.

Crash Fraud At Record High

CAR INSURANCE fraud is at a record high of £1.3 billion says the Association of British Insurers (ABI). This is a 34% increase over the previous year’s figures and is costing every household in the UK an extra £50 a year on their premium. Much of the fraud is due to ‘crash for cash’ incidents, where criminal drivers deliberately cause a collision with an innocent driver to claim for damage to their car and whiplash.
