Test piece. Surface aging, small nicks. Very immaculate.
Brand:Offenhauser Manufacturer Part Number:6060DP

Offenhauser 360 degree series intake, with the split port runners.  Dual Port intake.  Dual Plane.  Part # is 6060 DP.  It's a primarily off idle to mid rpm range performing intake.  Torque-y SOB.  Has choke provisions if you desire to remove the polished choke plate.

This was a test piece for a 460 based Super Cobra Jet spec'd performance motor.  For a 4200 pound car, this intake is a neck snapper.  We needed an intake for off the line go .... and this one was it.

Some of these intakes are found with the carburetor base hacked up .... this one is near mint original.  Exactly the way it came from the Offenhauser foundry.  12/13/91 manufacture date.  No problems whatsoever.

I've had this intake for nearly 25 years on the shelf.  It does have some mild surface aging, but you can see it appears near new.  I chose to not glass bead it, nor chemical etch it.  I've never liked the way "re-conditioned" aluminum looks when the wrong people do so.  I'll let you decide how you want it to look.

Inside the intake is clean, clean, clean.  It really was just bolted on, ran, taken off and put away.

Some adhesive on the still shining carburetor flange.  Little discoloration on the heater hose provision.

These are very hard to find.  If you order from Summit Racing today .... they claim it will ship in JANUARY OF NEXT YEAR !!!  Dunno' why that is .... but if you check their site, that's what it says.

In any event .... if you can't wait that long, and need one that looks "almost new" .... then here you go.  Take mine.

I pack well, and ship insured.  Good luck !

Just wanted to add a better picture of the thermostat threads.  They're perfect.  Think there was water in the threads on previous picture.  I hosed the dust off, and snapped pics' for this ad immediately thereafter.  Guess I should have air hosed them out.  The last picture is for those inquiring(picture # 12).  Stellar threads, thank you.

Koenigsegg One:1 (pictured) 1400 hp & 280mph In a wide ranging interview – in which Bloomberg compare Christian to a benevolent Bond villain – Christian reveals that plans for the One: 1 have moved on in the last year, and what he has in store is impressive indeed. The Koenigsegg One:1 will come with 1,400 horses – more than we imagined – and it will indeed boast one hp for every one kilogram. But that weight is a weight including all fluids and even the driver.

Corvette Stingray-based Callaway AeroWagon gets the green light

Thu, 03 Oct 2013

We first saw renderings of the Callaway AeroWagon, an angular shooting brake based off the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, back in March. Back then, Callaway said it would produce the customized C7 if demand was sufficient. Apparently, the Connecticut-based tuner decided that demand was, indeed, sufficient.

Engineers at Nissan Motor Co. are scurrying to eke another mile or two per gallon out of their vehicles to win customers who come looking for federal cash-for-guzzlers money.
