Ohlins Steering Damper Stabilizer Ducati Panigale 1199 W Adjustment Knob on 2040-parts.com
Miami, Florida, US
This came from my 2012 Ducati Panigale 1199 with 500 miles on it, good condition and perfect working order.
This steering damper Is a direct bolt on to the Base model 1199 Panigale. It is Easy to Install, operates smoothly, and is completely adjustable and rebuildable. That’s how you know its from the worlds best suspension company, Öhlins!
How does it work?
The Öhlins Steering Damper has a piston (A) that is fixed on the shaft (B) and pushes the fluid (blue arrows) through a separate parallel passage ©in the cylinder (D).
An adjustment knob (E) located at one end of the cylinder is connected to an adjustable valve in the passage to give a broad adjustment range. Temperature change causes changes in fluid volume, which is controlled by a pressurized reservoir (F) located at the other end of the steering damper. The fluid is pressurized either by a compressed closed cell rubber foam (Fig 1), or by a spring preloaded dividing piston (Fig 2).
The seals and bushing in the Öhlins Steering Damper are PTFE-coated to achieve the lowest friction level possible.

Mon, 26 Mar 2012Detroiter Spencer Abbott spotted a couple of Euro Fords out cruising the boulevards of suburban Detroit this weekend. Like a good Autoweek reader, he snapped a few photos as soon as it could be done safely. The C-Max can be easily explained, as Ford plans to start selling the little people mover stateside this fall.
