New OIL FILTER ADAPTER to convert your messy old factory canister oil filter to modern spin-on oil filters. Applications are for:
1949 – 1959 Oldsmobile V8
1953 – 1958 Buick V8
1955 – 1959 Pontiac V8
1955 – 1959 GMC pickup truck V8 (Pontiac V8)
This adapter uses the same common spin-on filters as 1960 – 1987 Olds, Buick, Pontiac, Cadillac V8s, and 1968 – 1992 Chevy V8s, such as the common AC PF24. This product is a bolt-on unit and no engine modifications are required. Internal oil passages are larger than the factory base, so it does not restrict oil flow. Factory oil by-pass valves, oil pressure lines, oil pressure sensors, and oil filter location are not affected. With the factory filter, it is common for the oil to drain back into the oil pan and there is often zero oil pressure for a few seconds at start-up while the old style filter is filling up with oil. Modern spin-on oil filters come with anti-drainback valves, which are lacking in the original factory design, for instant oil pressure to the bearings and reduced lifter clatter at engine start-up. Modern spin-on filters are much more efficient at filtering out small abrasive particles, due to improvements in filtering technology over the last half century. Quicker start-up oil pressure and better filtering will reduce engine wear and prolong the life of your engine. You will also realize an immediate cost savings at every oil change! Go-ahead for £1bn Wales motorway
Thu, 17 Jul 2014A £1 BILLION new motorway in south Wales has been given the go-ahead by the Welsh Government. Ministers say a preferred "black route" between Junctions 23 and 29 of the M4, including a new crossing of the Usk south of Newport, will boost the economy as well as ease congestion. But opponents say improving existing roads around Newport would be cheaper as well as kinder to the environment.
