Vauxhall to launch sub-£7k city car
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Vauxhall is believed to be working on a budget city car to rival the Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 108 and Citroen C1 trio unveiled earlier this month at Geneva. According to Auto Express, the new small hatchback will be based on the Chevrolet Spark platform and will start at less than £7,000 – undercutting the firm’s current Adam model by over £4,000. Sergio Pininfarina exhibition to open in Maranello
Fri, 12 Oct 2012The late Sergio Pininfarina will be honored in a three-month special exhibition at the Ferrari museum in Maranello, Italy, from 26 October. The ‘Grandi Ferrari di Sergio Pininfarina' – Sergio Pininfarina's great Ferraris – exhibition will feature his classic designs and current Pininfarina evolutions in three halls: Concept Cars, Motorsports and Grand Touring Cars. The Concept Hall will be filled with famous designs such as the Modulo, the P6 and the four-door Pinin concept.
Hyundai i30 R Turbo at Geneva 2013
Tue, 23 Oct 2012The anticipated ’hot’ Hyundai i30 looks like it’s arriving at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show with the turbo engine from the Veloster. It’s nearly a year since we reported that Hyundai were planning to make a performance version of the i30, with the 1.6 litre turbo from the Velsoter Turbo promising decent performance and up to 200bhp. Now Autoblog in Spain are reporting that a Hyundai i30 RS (or i30 R or i30 GT or i30…) will arrive at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show as a prelude to a 2014 launch.
