New GM 1965 1966 1967 1968 1969 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 Corvette Big Block Oil Pan, Windage Tray & Drain Hole Bolt

This is a new GM oil pan (OEM) with its original factory box.  This is the correct oil pan for big block Corvettes (396, 427 and 454 engines - all engine options). This pan has correct interior baffles, trap door, windage tray and factory information sheet.  Pan has a rear drain plug. Oil capacity of pan is 5 quarts (plus 1 quart for oil filter), same as original.  Dip stick hole is on the passenger (RH) side.

Note that this pan has a metric drain plug bolt  (can be replaced with original F-C, 7/8" bolt), and it does not have corner reinforcement tabs.  In all other respects it is identical to the orginal pans installed on big block Corvette engines.  Pan was painted by the factory and removed from its box only for these photos.

If this oil pan does not meet your requirements, it is returnable for exchange or full refund.

Prompt, flat rate domestic shipping is by UPS ground only within the "Lower 48 States".  Insurance and tracking are included.    Other shipping options are available.  Thanks, Rick Miller.

Third of motorists admit to driving with no MOT

Wed, 21 Aug 2013

A third of motorists have driven a car knowing the MOT had expired, risking fines of up to £1,000 and invalidating their insurance in the process. That’s according to a survey conducted by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), which found that of 1,000 UK motorists, 67% had driven without an MOT for up to a week, 24% for a month, 7% for six months and – shockingly – 2% for more than six months. Now we’d give the 67% who admitted driving without an MOT for a week the benefit of the doubt – it’s easy to forget the test is due.

Acura ZDX to be discontinued after 2013 model year

Wed, 10 Oct 2012

If you're in the market for a new Acura ZDX, consider heading to a dealership soon: Acura has announced that they will discontinue the crossover after the 2013 model year. The all-wheel drive ZDX, which shares a platform with the more conventional Acura MDX, will reportedly sign off with a “single, value-added package.” In other words, the crossover will only be sold in one configuration—which happens to be heavily loaded with luxury features including 10-speaker surround sound, an eight-inch display with integrated rearview camera system and heated, ventilated front seats. Safety-oriented technology like forward-collision warning and lane-departure-warning systems will make their ZDX debut as well.
