Muscle-car icons immortalized in new postal-stamp set
Mon, 25 Feb 2013Perhaps sensing that it's at risk of going the way of the carbureted big-block and leaded gasoline, the United States Postal Service is apparently willing to try anything to boost its bottom line. Though we're sure its recently announced line of postal worker-inspired apparel will be a runaway (and runway) success, we're glad to see the USPS reaching out to the automotive-enthusiast community with a new set of limited-edition stamps that commemorate the American muscle car. Redesigned 2011 Chrysler 200 convertible revealed early
Sun, 16 Jan 2011Photos of the redesigned 2011 Chrysler 200 convertible have hit the Internet, weeks before its planned official debut. Images of the 200 convertible, which replaces the Chrysler Sebring convertible, apparently leaked onto the Web in Europe. The car likely will make its formal debut at the Chicago auto show in February or at the New York auto show in April.
Aston Martin Lagonda SUV still moving forward
Tue, 10 Jul 2012New reports suggest Aston Martin is still pushing forward with the Lagonda SUV, with underpinnings from the Mercedes GL. Last year we reported the Lagonda SUV was back on (although we’re not sure when it was actually off – just MIA) and that it was Aston Martin’s hope they could raid Mercedes parts bin for the underpinnings of the SUV, and take on the building of a new Maybach for Mercedes in the process. But as we now know, Mercedes has decided a Pullman S Class has more cachet (and less build cost) than the glitter ball Maybach, so Aston Martin’s hopes of a nice profitable design and build deal evaporated with the last roll of the dice for the Maybach brand.
