I have an Olds 350 block from a 68-72 car. It is Standard bore from a running car. They lifter valley has been polished as well as the oil pump galley. Comes with a timing chain cover, oil filter mount, and distributor hold down. Freight for a regular pallet is about $200 business to business. GM shifts gears, will keep Opel
Wed, 04 Nov 2009General Motors' board of directors has decided that it will keep the Opel business and restructure it, putting an end to plans to sell the European operations to auto supplier Magna International. GM said it expects the restructuring of Opel to cost $4.42 billion (3 million euros), which it says is lower than the costs associated with outside bids for the company. GM said it will soon present its restructuring plans for Opel to the German government and other governments in Europe.
Explosion at GM Tech Center; lithium battery is the suspected cause
Wed, 11 Apr 2012According to WWJ CBS Detroit, there was an explosion at the General Motors Tech Center in Warren, Mich., on Wednesday morning. Deputy Fire Chief Gary Wilkinson said the explosion most likely was related to a lithium battery. Wilkinson told Autoweek that a responder notified the HAZMAT team via radio that the explosion involved lithium batteries in the research facility's Alternative Energy Center.
