Crankshaft was turned 10/10 and installed in a rebuilt engine that had not been run yet. Does have some light scratches on one journal and a a few gouges in a couple journals, the gouges seem like they might almost be from the factory forging.
Manufacturer Part Number:400943 Country/Region of Manufacture:United States Warranty:No

Very rare Oldsmobile 455 factory steel crankshaft, this crankshaft was most commonly found in 1968 model cars with tow packages / performance packages, like a 442 or Toronado part number is a 400943 which you can barely see in the photo, this is pretty common with these crankshafts.

This crankshaft has been turned 10/10 and rings very nicely. I got this crankshaft in a freshly rebuilt engine that had never been run, I ended up not using the crankshaft in my build.

Please look at the pictures very closely, had some very minor surface rust where the balancer slides on, but that's it for rust. It appears one journal has some very light scratching, and aside from that 2 journals have some small gouges, I am not an expert but I would assume those gouges would be from the factory forging. Like i said this was assembled in an engine ready to go, whoever ground the crankshaft didn't feel that these issues were a concern, you might want to turn the crank further, I personally wouldn't hesitate to use it as-is, none of this damage is raised off the surface.

I am not looking to rip anyone off, or miss-represent, please email me with any questions, I tried to be as accurate as possible, this is an as-is no warranty no returns deal, What you see is what you get, Thanks for looking

I will ship this via UPS Ground, its about the cheapest/safest way to ship this, it is VERY heavy, I have a crankshaft box and will package very carefully. I am not charging for materials or labor for packaging the crankshaft, just the crank and shipping.

Aston Martin finally reveals official V12 Zagato pictures

Thu, 09 Feb 2012

AM finally releases official photos of the production V12 Zagato The Aston Martin V12 Zagato finally gets its production car debut in Kuwait next week, and Aston manage to release a few official photos. It does seem odd that when AM has published the brochure for the Aston Martin V12 Zagato online (admittedly you had to hunt it out), complete with a fair number of photos, that they hadn’t got round to releasing any new official photos of the V12 Zagato to an eager fan base. But they’ve now managed to fix that, by releasing just three new photos.

GM to sell bifuel Chevrolet and GMC trucks

Wed, 18 Apr 2012

While gasoline hovers at about four bucks a gallon, natural gas is priced at the equivalent of $1.89 per gallon. Chevrolet and GMC are hoping to take advantage of that disparity by offering bi-fuel heavy-duty pickups for fleet and retail customers beginning on April 19, the day before Earth Day. The bi-fuel option will cost buyers $11,000, on top of the price of the pickups.
