This compass was made for Oldsmobile in the early 1950's. Do not know what model it was used on. Compass spins freely when face is perpendicular to flat surface. When housing is set onto flat surface compass is at an angle and compass will not spin.

BMW Art Car collection on show in the UK

Mon, 23 Apr 2012Jaguar F-Type gets the new 3.0 litre V6 S/C Jaguar reveals two new petrol engines at Beijing, a 3.0 litre V6 Supercharged and a 2.0 litre 4-cylinder turbo. When Jaguar revealed the F-Type at Frankfurt last year (well, the C-X16 concept) it was powered by a new V6 Supercharged engine – basically a cut-down version of Jaguar’s V8. And now that engine is officially part of Jaguar’s engine line-up.

And that isn’t going to change much with the 2014 Kia Soul, but this time the Soul gets based on the latest Cee’d and grows in size, so it should be a more appealing drive. With more modern car underpinnings, the new Soul should ride better and be more dynamic, with better suspension and a stiffer body shell making the Soul a very practical family car, but one which at least offers a little joy in the drive.
