This is a very nice factory forged steel crankshaft for 1957-1958 Oldsmobile 371 V8 engines. This crank was recently found at an estate sale of a long time hot rodder. Apparantly, the entire engine was purchased before I got there but the buyer left and the crank was found later. The family had to get rid of the parts by the end of the day and simply could not take the risk that the buyer of the engine would come back. This crank was turned .010 under on the rod and main journals and has not been used since. The crank has also had other high performance modifications done including crossdrilling and grooving the main journals. The crank has surface corrosion from storage as shown. Fortunately, the journals were coated and only have light staining that will not cause any issues. This is a very nice crank.

This crank was found fresh in the bag and has never been installed in an engine since being machined. This crank was turned .010 under on the rod and main journals. The main journals measure 2.740 inches and the rod journals are 2.240 inches. The crank has also had other high performance modifications done including cross-drilling and grooving the main journals. The crank has surface corrosion from storage as shown. Fortunately, the journals were coated and only have light staining that will not cause any issues. The crank has not been balanced and all the threads are in good condition. This is a very nice crank.

I believe this crankshaft can also be used in a 324 block to make a stroker engine. I am not sure of the modifications necessary to install this crank into a 324 block so please look into it before buying the crank.

Ebay only allows 12 pictures to be posted on a parts listing. 12 pictures simply aren't enough to show a crankshaft. I took a video of the crank as well. To watch the video, simply click on the play icon in the picture below and the video will play right here on this page.

This is your chance to own the crankshaft you have been dreaming about at a great price.  Don't Miss Out!

Check out my other listings for more rare and hard to find parts.

GOOD LUCK!

Lamborghini Veneno Roadster When the first photo of the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster – the open-top take on the Veneno, revealed earlier this year – appeared online yesterday, it seemed likely we’d soon get the official reveal from Sant’agata. And here it is. The Veneno Roadster is another part of Lamborghini’s 50th anniversary celebrations and represents the extremes of what the marque can do.

Skoda Yeti Laurin & Klement adds gloss to the Yeti

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Skoda has revealed a range-topping Yeti SUV – the Yeti Laurin & Klement – with extra equipment over the Yeti Elegance. It might sounds like a firm of solicitors, but Laurin & Klement (Václav Laurin and Václav Klement) are the founders of what is now SKODA and Skoda use their names to badge their range-topping cars, hence the Skoda Yeti Laurin & Klement. The Yeti Laurin & Klement starts off as a Yeti Elegance before Skoda bolt on £4,000 worth of extra goodies, and you can have it only as a 4WD with the 1.8-litre TSI 160PS, 2.0-litre TDI CR 140PS DSG or 2.0-litre TDI CR 170PS engines.
