Here is a transom mount assembly that came off of a 3hp Gale Buccaneer.  It has two white paint spots on one side, and has some minor paint wear.  Otherwise, everything works great.  It tilts up and down easy, the locking mechanism works well, the friction adjustment for swiveling is in great shape, and the trim adjustment works well.  The clamp screws are in great shape and threads in and out easily.

Winners announced in Car Design News-Opel/Vauxhall interactive design competition

We are pleased to announce the winners of the interior and exterior phases of the Car Design News-Opel/Vauxhall interactive design competition. Chiayuan Lu of the University of Coventry, England, is revealed as the winner of the interior design phase, and Victor Uribe of IED in Turin, Italy, is the winner of the exterior design phase. They were announced at a ceremony held today, 2 March 2011, during the second press day of the Geneva motor show.

Gemballa Mirage GT Carbon Edition Uwe Gemballa and his team are probably the world’s best Porsche Carrera GT Tuners. There have been a number of tuned and pimped versions from them in the last few years (you wonder when they’re going to run out of donor cars  – there were only 1270 ever made), but this one looks particularly good. Based on a standard donor Porsche Carrera GT, the Gemballa Mirage GT Carbon Edition gets a power increase of around 50bhp, taking it to 670bhp (not as mad as some of the Gemballa Carrera GTs have been) and 470lb/ft of torque.
