Nissan GT Academy winners too fast for British GT

For those who say that video-game skills can't translate into real life, we'd like to point you to the case of Nissan GT Academy Team RJN versus the officials of the British GT Championship. The Nissan team was deemed too fast to compete in the national Pro-Am category. In 2012, Nissan GT Academy champion Jann Mardenborough entered the British GT Championship as an amateur with Alex Buncombe as the pro in a Nissan GT-R Nismo GT3.

Students from the Transportation Design Masters program at Spain's Elisava School of Design presented their work in the 2005 Degree Show entitled 'Real Transportation', held in October at the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona. This was the sixth edition of the Transportation Design Masters course. The projects by this year's students aimed to bring creative solutions to real transport issues, while taking into account aspects such as mobility, aerodynamics, environmental impact, ergonomics, legislation, materials, production, security, technology and aesthetic principles.

Volkswagen has launched a new micro-site which looks at what people may be driving in the future - or whether they will be driving at all. Revolving around a short film set in the year 2028, in which a father tells his son about the automobile world of 20 years ago, the website showcases the Wolfsburg-based automaker's vision of the automotive world 20 years from now. These 'visions of the future', which take shape in the form of three autonomous concept cars called the 'One', 'Ego' and 'Room', offer an insight into the automotive world of tomorrow as seen through the tinted spectacles of Volkswagen developers and designers.
